Students Stand to Win $2,500 in Financial Support By Submitting Essays About the 7th Amendment

LOUISVILLE, KY, February 09, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Beginning in 2023, McCoy & Hiestand, PLC are proud to offer $2,500 to current and rising college students seeking to continue their academic careers. These funds come in the form of the McCoy & Hiestand, PLC 7th Amendment Scholarship, an academic scholarship.

The 7th Amendment Scholarship requires applicants to submit an essay to McCoy & Hiestand, PLC, considering the question: should the 7th Amendment be construed literally? The 7th Amendment currently allows all parties interested in pursuing a civil claim to have their concerns considered by a jury of their peers.

The text of the 7th Amendment specifically reads:

“In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”

The essay that students submit needs to be between 500 and 1,000 words in length. The firm will consider students’ interpretation of the 7th Amendment as well as their perspective on its application before awarding its $2,500 to the winning student.

McCoy & Hiestand, PLC, also require that students applying for the 7th Amendment Scholarship submit proof of:

– A 3.0 or higher GPA
– Enrollment or acceptance into an accredited United States university
– United States citizenship and/or right to work

The firm is proud to make its 7th Amendment Scholarship available to students across all academic avenues with interest in legal procedure. Students interested in competing for the 7th Amendment Scholarship should submit all applicable materials through the McCoy & Hiestand, PLC, website by June 15, 2023.

At this point in time, McCoy & Hiestand, PLC, cannot answer questions about the scholarship or its application process. Students and their families who want to learn more are invited to revisit the scholarship’s terms and conditions.

McCoy & Hiestand, PLC, wish each student applying for the 7th Amendment Scholarship the best of luck. The team looks forward to reaching students’ essays and supporting the winner’s pursuit of their academic ambitions.
